Overview

KMK is the go-to law firm for companies involved in business transactions in the Midwest. For the past two decades, we believe we have represented more public companies in the greater Cincinnati region than any other law firm. And, for more than 60 years, KMK Law has been recognized as one of the leading business law firms in the Midwest, providing legal advice and counsel to some of the top business figures and businesses for their most important transactions.

Our clients tend to be entrepreneurial companies that are acquisitive and aggressive in their business approach. In all aspects of our clients’ business transactions, we provide clear, pragmatic advice. Our goal is to maximize our clients’ success by giving them sound guidance throughout the course of our relationship.

KMK handles business law matters for all types and sizes of business organizations, including public and private corporations, limited partnerships, and limited liability companies. Our lawyers frequently serve as outside general counsel to clients and serve as special counsel for specific needs or projects. We also offer business formation and counseling services, debt and equity financing matters, mergers and acquisitions services, commercial contract matters and other general business matters.  We also counsel on joint ventures, franchising, and other business expansion alternatives. KMK lawyers have decades of experience in private placements and public offerings and all aspects of securities regulations compliance.

Nurturing our next generation

While many regional law firms have difficulty retaining and developing their next generation corporate transactional lawyers, our firm’s practice not only nurtures our young lawyers, we let them maximize their potential. These opportunities encourage other young attorneys to choose to return home to Cincinnati from strong national corporate practices in New York, Chicago and Washington, D.C.—ensuring KMK’s ability to offer extraordinary service to our business clients for decades to come.
