Biography
Madeline Darling is an associate in KMK Law’s Business Representation & Transactions Group, where she supports clients in a broad range of commercial finance matters. Madeline regularly works with financial institutions, commercial lenders, and corporate borrowers in connection with secured and unsecured debt financing transactions. Her practice focuses on preparing and negotiating loan and leasing documentation, conducting transaction diligence, and assisting with the closing and administration of financing arrangements.
Madeline has experience representing clients in diverse commercial loan structures, including single-lender loans, broadly syndicated credit facilities and middle market loan facilities, litigation finance and law firm lending, and working capital lines of credit. Through her work across commercial finance and general business transactions, Madeline brings a well-rounded understanding of complex financing structures and delivers practical, detail-oriented support that helps transactions move and close efficiently.
Madeline earned her law degree from the Donald P. Klekamp College of Law at the University of Cincinnati in 2022, cum laude, where she served as Notes and Comments Editor on the University of Cincinnati Law Review. While in law school, Madeline also served as a judicial extern for the Honorable Judge Candace J. Smith, Magistrate Judge for the United States District Court for the Eastern District of Kentucky. Madeline also served as a summer associate at KMK Law in 2020 and 2021 and continued to work with KMK’s Commercial Finance team as a law clerk during her third year of law school.
