Biography
Alison practices in the firm’s Labor & Employment Group, where she assists clients in all stages of workplace disputes. Alison has extensive experience counseling clients regarding hiring and firing issues, disciplinary matters, and compliance questions related to Title VII, the Americans with Disabilities Act, the Family Medical Leave Act, the Occupational Health and Safety Act, and other state and federal laws governing the employment relationship. Alison also assists employers with drafting policies and procedures, including employee handbooks, and provides labor and employment-related diligence in M&A transactions.
Alison regularly defends employers against charges filed with the EEOC as well as other governmental agencies and represents employers in litigation matters in both state and federal courts.
In addition to labor and employment matters, Alison has experience assisting franchisors with drafting and registering franchise disclosure documents and ensuring compliance with the regulations governing the offer and sale of franchises.
