Overview

Arguably the hottest new investment development tool coming out of Washington, DC this past year is the Qualified Opportunity Zone Legislation designed to bring massive capital infusions to underserved neighborhoods across the United States designated as Qualified Opportunity Zones. The KMK Law Opportunity Zone team of tax, real estate, and securities attorneys is well versed and actively working with investors and developers with this very important new law. We crafted our first Qualified Opportunity Zone Fund and invested in Qualified Opportunity Zone property before the IRS regulations were issued. We have the breadth, depth, and passion to be a key resource to investors, financial institutions, developers, and cities to accelerate the effective implementation of this major urban redevelopment focused new incentive law.

In addition, through KMK’s affiliate KMK Consulting Company LLC, KMK can provide developer and business clients with access to all aspects of economic development, public financing, and incentives, including NMTC, HTCs, EB-5, TIF, Job Creation Tax Incentives, Grants, Tax Abatements, and various energy related incentives. KMK has the experience to synchronize multiple incentive and financing sources together in a seamless fashion, so that developer and business clients can move forward with projects that otherwise might not be possible.
