Keating Muething & Klekamp Welcomes Litigation Attorney Taylor V. Trout and Corporate Attorney Jerad T. Whitt

The Cincinnati law firm of Keating Muething & Klekamp PLL (KMK Law®) welcomes two new associates: Taylor V. Trout and Jerad T. Whitt.

Taylor V. Trout

Taylor Trout practices in the firm's Litigation Group. Prior to joining KMK, Trout practiced law with an elite litigation firm based in Akron, Ohio, where he focused in insurance defense; representing insurance companies in first and third-party claims, coverage disputes, bad-faith claims, and subrogation, as well as defending individuals in personal injury and property claims. Trout has significant experience in defending construction companies in commercial and residential construction projects, including claims for breach of contract, defective work, breach of warranties, and violations of the Consumer Sales Practices Act, the Home Construction Service Suppliers Act, and the Home Solicitation Sales Act. He also has experience in probate litigation, contract disputes, and appellate law.

Trout earned his J.D. from the University of Akron School of Law in 2015, magna cum laude, where he served as a member of the Akron Law Review. Taylor was a three-year recipient of the Board of Trustees scholarship, earned CALI Excellence for the Future Awards in the subjects of Civil Procedure and Criminal Law and was named to the Dean's List every semester. He earned his B.A. from The College of Wooster OH in 2012, and is admitted to practice law in Ohio.


Jerad Whitt
practices in the firm’s Business Representation and Transactions Group. Prior to joining KMK, Whitt practiced law at Frost Brown Todd in their Louisville, Kentucky office where he gained experience in real estate law; representing commercial banks and institutional lenders in a variety of commercial loan transactions, including CMBS originations, warehouse lines of credit, and floating-rate loans.

Whitt  earned his J.D. from the University of Cincinnati School of Law in 2017, cum laude, where he served as Articles Editor for the University of Cincinnati Law Review. He earned his B.A. from the University of Kentucky in 2009, and worked as a project manager overseeing large scale roll-outs and enterprise-level projects in the fields of information technology and healthcare prior to law school. Whitt is admitted to practice law in Ohio and Kentucky.
