Keating Muething & Klekamp Welcomes Corporate Attorney Nicholas L. Simon
Simon helps companies, financial institutions, investors, and entrepreneurs negotiate and execute a broad range of transactions by providing prompt and practical advice and focusing on the client’s business objectives. His experience includes advising companies, investors, and private equity funds in mergers and acquisitions, strategic investments, equity financings, and commercial contracts, from large public and private company acquisitions to smaller non-controlling investments and asset divestitures. Simon has also advised borrowers and lenders in a variety of debt financing transactions, including acquisition financings, secured and unsecured term and revolving credit facilities, securitized credit facilities, and equipment leases. He advises companies of all sizes, from Fortune 100 public companies to early stage growth companies.
Prior to joining KMK Law, Simon was an associate at Covington & Burling LLP in Washington, D.C. where he advised clients on a range of corporate and finance transactions. Following law school, Simon served as a law clerk to the Hon. Karen K. Caldwell of the United States District Court for the Eastern District of Kentucky.
Simon earned his J.D. from Duke University School of Law in 2011, magna cum laude, Order of the Coif and was an editor on the Duke Law Journal. He earned his B.A. in Economics from Wake Forest University in 2007, magna cum laude. He currently is admitted to practice law in New York and the District of Columbia.
