Gregory P. Hartmann Joins Keating Muething & Klekamp

Cincinnati (June 5, 2019) — Gregory P. Hartmann, former Clerk of Courts and Commissioner of Hamilton County, joins the Cincinnati law firm of Keating Muething & Klekamp PLL (KMK Law®).

Hartmann comes to KMK Law as a trusted advisor with 20 years of diversified experience as an attorney, former government official, and a private consultant for Ohio government relations. He intends to use his experience and reputation in complex litigation and in connection with sophisticated public-private projects.

Hartmann began his career as a Hamilton County Prosecutor. He gained significant experience in the courtroom, handling hundreds of criminal cases. After years of trial practice, he managed court operations and more than 330 employees as Hamilton County Clerk of Courts. Hartman received Hamilton County’s Republican Elected Official of the Year Award and in 2006, was the Republican nominee for Ohio Secretary of State.

His term as Hamilton County Clerk of Courts ended in 2008 when Hartmann was elected Hamilton County Commissioner. During this time, he also entered into private practice. Hartman was a partner at Shea Hartmann LLP and acted as president of GHSW Consulting Partners prior to joining KMK Law.

He earned his J.D. from Pepperdine University Law School, cum laude, in 1997 and received his B.A. from Washington and Lee University in Lexington, Virginia.
