Biography

David Stewart practices in the firm's Business Representation & Transactions Group with a concentration in venture capital transactions, start-ups & growth companies, securities, and mergers and acquisitions.

David has experience advising venture capitalists and founders from formation to various stages of financing and growth on a wide range of legal issues. Focusing on practical solutions with a collaborative approach, David is well-versed in advising clients on corporate governance, intellectual property protection, contract drafting and negotiation, regulatory compliance, and venture financing. David also serves as counsel to the trustees of large trusts on a wide range of corporate issues.

During law school, he twice participated in the University of Cincinnati College of Law’s Entrepreneurship & Community Development Clinic, advising start-ups in a variety of business stages. He also interned in the General Counsel’s office of a large corporation and was a summer associate with a full-service Cincinnati law firm. Prior to law school, David served as an intelligence analyst in the United States Air Force as a member of the Ohio Air National Guard.
