Melanie Cheek is an associate in the firm’s Labor & Employment Group where she helps clients meet their business objectives and minimize liability. Her practice currently includes a wide range of labor and employment matters.

Melanie earned her law degree from the University of Cincinnati College of Law in 2018 where she was articles editor of the University of Cincinnati Law Review, senior articles editor for Human Rights Quarterly, secretary for the Black Law Students Association, and vice president of the Asian Pacific American Law Students Association.

Prior to law school, Melanie served as a law clerk for Duke Energy Corporation and held an internship at the United States District Court of the Southern District of Ohio to the Honorable Judge Susan J. Dlott. Melanie earned her B.A. in Sociology from D’Youville College, cum laude, in 2012 and earned her Graduate Certificate in Corporate Communications from Seneca College in 2014.
