Donald P. Klekamp Receives The Council of Christian Communions Faith In Action Award
Donald P. Klekamp, a senior partner at Keating Muething & Klekamp, will receive The Council of Christian Communions Faith In Action Award at the 92nd Annual Dinner Meeting and Delegates Assembly on Tuesday, April 25, 2006.
The Council of Christian Communions began serving the Greater Cincinnati community through ecumenical leadership in 1914. Today, this 501(c)3 non-profit organization is supported by mainline denominations, religious organizations, individual churches, individual donors and grants. The Council creates opportunities for ministry among the people and institutions of Greater Cincinnati; building bridges that provide access needed for Christians and other faiths to minister, teach and worship together in the public arena.
The Faith In Action Award is given every year to recognize exemplary individuals who inspire us through their faithful dedication and volunteer service to the Greater Cincinnati community.
Each year the Council awards individuals for their Christian service. “Many organizations recognize individuals for their community service but few lift up and celebrate individual efforts to promote the Kingdom of God,” said Joellen Grady, executive director of the Council. Attorney, Deborah K. Gaines, retiring board president remarked, “The Council is nothing without the individual efforts of our volunteers. Consequently, we solicit nominations and award those who give of their self to spread the Gospel in an effort to heal our community.”
Additional recipients of the 2006 Faith In Action Award include: Juanita M. Adams, Rev. Christopher and Julia Tomma Battle, and Melvin Williams.
