Keating Muething & Klekamp Hires Three New Associates

The Cincinnati law firm of Keating Muething & Klekamp PLL (KMK Law®) has recently hired three new associates: Brett S. Niehauser, Stephanie M. Scott, and Jonathan L. Trotta.

Brett S. NiehauserBrett S. Niehauser practices in the firm’s Business Representation & Transactions Group. Niehauser earned his law degree from the University of Cincinnati College of Law, summa cum laude, in 2017. While in law school, he worked in the University of Cincinnati College of Law’s Entrepreneurship and Community Development Clinic as a student advising entrepreneurs through various stage of business development and interned at the University of Cincinnati’s Office of General Counsel. He was also an Associate Member of the University of Cincinnati Law Review and part of the Editorial Staff for Human Rights Quarterly. Niehauser was a Guy A. Zoghby Corporate Law Fellow, which allowed him to conduct research on corporate law topics and to become involved in activities to enhance his understanding of corporate law. Niehauser earned his B.S. from the University of Cincinnati, summa cum laude, in 2017. Niehauser is admitted to practice law in Ohio.

Stephanie M. Scott practices in the firm's Litigation Group, focusing primarily on general corporate litigation, intellectual property, qui tam litigation, and cybersecurity and privacy law. Scott earned her law degree from the University of Cincinnati College of Law in 2017, summa cum laude, where she served as a Corporate Law Fellow (2014-2017), was an Associate Member and Editor for the University of Cincinnati Law Review and worked in the University of Cincinnati College of Law's Entrepreneurship and Community Development Clinic. Scott began working as a summer associate for KMK during her first year at UC Law, and remained at KMK for the remainder of her time at school (2015-2017) before joining the firm full-time as an Associate. Scott earned a B.S.B.A in Marketing and an A.A. in Paralegal Studies from the University of Louisville in 2013. She served as a paralegal and business development intern at KMK while obtaining her undergraduate degree, as well as working as a sales representative for MKTG representing Diageo Liquors, and a seasonal intern for The Shepherd Chemical Company (2010-2013). Scott is admitted to practice law in Ohio.

Jonathan L. TrottaJonathan L. Trotta practices in the firm's Labor & Employment Group. Trotta earned his law degree from the University of Cincinnati College of Law in 2017. While in law school, he served as a member of the board for the University of Cincinnati Entrepreneurship Law Club and also served as a Student Leader for the Student Bar Association. Trotta also worked in the College of Law’s Entrepreneurship and Community Development clinic where he advised entrepreneurs through various stages of business development. During the summer of 2016, he worked as a summer associate at KMK. Before law school, Trotta served on Active Duty with the U.S. Army and earned the rank of Sergeant. During his time in the U.S. Army, Trotta was stationed at Ft. Drum, New York, with the 10th Mountain Division. Trotta spent over 15 months deployed to Iraq in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom where he participated in countless missions throughout the Al Anbar Province. During his time in the U.S. Army, Trotta earned many decorations and awards, including: the Iraq Campaign Medal with Campaign Star, the Army Commendation Medal, the Non-Commissioned Officer Professional Development Ribbon, the Army Achievement Medal, and the Global War on Terrorism Service Medal. Trotta earned his B.S. from the University of Cincinnati in 2012. Trotta is admitted to practice law in Ohio.
