Keating Muething & Klekamp Hires Two New Associates

The Cincinnati law firm of Keating Muething & Klekamp PLL (KMK Law®) has recently hired two new associates: Christopher S. Brinkman and Mikaela R. Patton

Christopher S. Brinkman practices in the firm’s Business Representation & Transactions Group with a concentration in mergers and acquisitions, private equity/venture capital, business formation, and business planning for entrepreneurs. During law school, Brinkman worked at the University of Cincinnati College of Law’s Entrepreneurship and Community Development Clinic where he advised entrepreneurs through various stages of business development. He also interned at the Ohio Justice & Policy Center and was a Legal Fellow for the Ohio Innocence Project, where he consulted clients regarding claims of innocence and post-conviction relief. Brinkman served as Vice President of Philanthropy for the Association of Fundraising Professionals Collegiate Chapter for the University of Cincinnati. Brinkman earned his J.D. from the University of Cincinnati College of Law, magna cum laude, in 2015. He earned his B.S. from Indiana University in 2009. Brinkman is admitted to practice law in Ohio.

Mikaela R. Patton practices in the firm’s Labor and Employment Group. Prior to joining KMK, Patton served as a judicial extern for the Honorable Judge Algenon L. Marbley, United States District Judge for the Southern Division of Ohio, and the Honorable Judge Kimberly Cocroft in the Franklin County Court of Common Pleas. Patton also represented children in criminal cases as a legal intern with the Justice for Children Clinic. She worked at KMK Law as a summer associate in 2014. Patton earned her J.D. from The Ohio State University Moritz College of Law in 2015, where she served as an Articles Editor of the Ohio State Law Journal and as Vice President of the Black Law Students Association. She earned her B.A. from The Ohio State University, magna cum laude, in 2012. Patton is admitted to practice law in Ohio.
