KMK Attorney Brandi M. Stewart Selected as 2009 YWCA Rising Star

Brandi M. Stewart, an attorney in the litigation department of Keating Muething & Klekamp PLL (KMK), was selected as a Rising Star by the YWCA Academy of Career Women of Achievement.

The YWCA Rising Star program is an initiative created to support younger women (ages 25-40) in the pursuit of excellence in their careers.  It offers educational programs and networking with successful career women of diverse backgrounds to help the Rising Stars as they become our community’s future leaders.

Stewart practices primarily in the areas of commercial litigation and personal injury/wrongful death.  Stewart currently serves as the Recording Secretary for the Black Lawyers Association of Cincinnati and is a Writing Mentor for the Summer Work Experience in Law Program (SWEL), which offers area minority high school and college students the opportunity to gain a hands-on introduction to the legal profession.  She has previously served on Cincinnati Mayor Mark Mallory’s Young Professional Kitchen Cabinet, she served as the Chair of the Parents and Young Family Committee (2007-2008), and she is a participant in the Cincinnati USA Regional Chamber’s C-Change Program (Class IV).  Stewart earned her J.D. from the University of Kentucky College of Law in 2007, and her B.A. from Vanderbilt University in 2004.
