Keating Muething & Klekamp recognizes it is in the best interest of our clients and our ability to provide high level client service to give thoughtful consideration to requests by attorneys to work on a part-time basis. Keating Muething & Klekamp handles all requests for part-time status on an individual-by-individual basis. Requests for part-time arrangements will only be accommodated for attorneys who are performing above average in terms of the quality of their work and demonstrating a high level of commitment to our clients and the firm.
In order to provide consistency on a firm-wide basis, the applicable Practice Group Leader, Associates Committee Chairperson and the Managing Partner will be involved in the process for associates requesting to work part-time. In determining the compensation and benefits to be paid to those individuals who are approved to work on a part-time basis, the firm will take into account the overhead of the attorney involved and the expected profitability of the part-time arrangement. Keating Muething & Klekamp has several partners who work on a part-time schedule, and our policy permits qualified and committed attorneys practicing part-time to be elected as partners.
