Accountant / Collections Manager
KMK is seeking an experienced Accountant/Collections Manager to assist with management of daily cash and to follow up directly with clients with past due accounts. This position will entail preparing and balancing daily deposits, processing client payments and applying them to the appropriate accounts, investigating and resolving client inquiries, researching and resolving payment discrepancies, monitoring reports to identify aging accounts, placing direct phone calls and emails to clients that are past due, and analyzing and reporting accounts receivable data.

Qualifications and Requirements:
Five years of accounts receivable experience and general accounting experience is required. 1-3 years of experience working directly with clients who have past due accounts is also required.

Records Clerk
KMK is seeking a Records Clerk to assist with the management of the firm's records and new client/matter intake and conflict check process. The position will entail filing and retrieving of physical records, processing records for offsite storage, new record creation, data entry in records management software, and client interaction via email, telephone, and personal contact.

Qualifications and Requirements:
Intermediate computer skills, specifically in Microsoft Windows and Office. Customer service skills. Legal records experience a plus. College degree preferred; significant work experience can be a substitute for degree. Occasionally lift up to 50 lbs.

Technical Support Specialist/Trainer
KMK is seeking a Technical Support Specialist/Trainer to recommend and implement the training of all law firm personnel on the firm's computer system applications, areas of professional development, firm standards, various workflows and any additional training as required. This position will ensure that present and future training requirements for the firm are performed effectively and in a timely manner. Responsible for assisting all firm personnel in the effective use of the firm's software applications on an as needed basis to resolve end-user problems and individual training needs.

Job Duties:

  • Anticipate and determine the training needs for effective utilization of all software applications, both purchased and developed within the firm.
  • Develop, design and implement training programs and learning plans for the attorneys, paralegals, secretaries, word processing and other law firm personnel in consultation with CIO and other administrative Directors.
  • Implement in-house training programs and follow-up training as required. Coordinate training programs with outside vendors as appropriate.
  • Configure, plan and implement the firm’s Learning Management System (LMS) to include appropriate content within the LMS system, either provided by the LMS vendor, current software vendors or created in-house.
  • Maintain training reports by computer user.
  • Assist the Help Desk function in troubleshooting high level issues that require expert level understanding of various applications
  • Make recommendations for new applications. Evaluate, test and configure applications for additions to the current suite of software and/or the development of new desktop systems.
  • Develop and maintain training procedures governing the applications of computer systems (from the users’ perspective) including the usage as it related to hardware and software throughout the firm.
  • Create, evaluate and recommend procedures whereby the users will become more proficient in the use of the applications.
  • Prepare documentation of training procedures and coordinate same with the administrative Directors, CIO, specific IT staff and others, as necessary.

Qualifications and Requirements:
Expert level experience working with Microsoft Office Suite of applications in a professional services environment. Expert level experience working with supplementary applications commonly used in a law office environment covering a wide scope and variety. Deep understanding of a wide range of secretarial and attorney tasks and workflow within a legal environment. College degree preferred; significant work experience can be a substitute for degree. A minimum of 5 years experience training the above applications in both a group and individual setting. Experience creating clear and concise training documentation for both course work and as quick reference material for ongoing use by the user community. Desire to collaborate with varying departments to develop professional development curriculum and participate in training initiatives for each.

Experience in working with Microsoft Windows client operating systems in a network environment. Familiarity with network operations and support. Experience training a wide variety of topics. Excellent organizational and documentation skills. Ability to discern opportunities for training and be able to create programs or partner with outside experts to train on various subject matters.

MESSENGER CLERKS

KMK utilizes messenger clerks year-round to assist with daily office clerical duties. The daily responsibilities of a Messenger Clerk includes a variety of miscellaneous clerical work including, but not limited to: court runs, processing and distributing USPS mail, deliveries, receiving and distributing UPS and FedEx packages, stocking office supplies, preparing conference rooms for meetings, and operating as the back-up receptionist.
