Meaghan K. FitzGerald


Meaghan FitzGerald practices in the firm’s Litigation Group.

Meaghan primarily works on complex commercial litigation, class action litigation, and commercial property disputes. She has experience in FLSA, intellectual property litigation, zoning disputes, real estate tax reductions and exemptions, and general corporate and business litigation. Meaghan is also a member of KMK’s Cybersecurity & Privacy team, and assists clients with related cybersecurity preparedness and breach issues.

During law school, Meaghan served as research assistant to Professor Daniel Tokaji, exploring a variety of voting rights and campaign finance issues. She also worked as an intern in the Office of Congressional Affairs of the U.S. Department of Commerce, National Telecommunications & Information Administration in Washington, DC designing and compiling databases for the candidate selection process of the First Responder Network Board. Meaghan researched and prepared materials for Assistant Secretary of NTIA to use when testifying before Congress.

Meaghan earned her law degree from The Ohio State University Moritz College of Law, where she served on the Managing Board of the Ohio State Law Journal. She also served as Treasurer and Secretary of the American Constitution Society and as a Moritz Admissions Ambassador.

Representative Matters

  • Represented 50% shareholder in action regarding corporation’s failure to comply with proper corporate governance
  • Defended large logistics company in individual arbitration and collective action claims alleging misclassification and failure to pay overtime under FLSA
  • Represented waste disposal company involving the rezoning for a major expansion of the Colerain Township, Hamilton County, Ohio Rumpke landfill expanding their landfill area by 65 acres and creating a planned light industrial district of 73 acres
