James R. Whitaker

Mr. Whitaker rejoined the firm after having served as Executive Vice President and General Counsel of Provident Financial Group, Inc. and its bank subsidiary Provident Bank, until their acquisition by National City Corporation in July 2004. Prior to joining Provident in December 2002, he had practiced banking and commercial law at the firm for almost 30 years. He has resumed his practice in representing the firm’s clients in the areas of corporate finance and business transactions.

Mr. Whitaker is a U.S. Army Veteran, 1968-1970.
