Edward E. Steiner
Mr. Steiner practices in the business representation & transactions practice group. The focus of his practice is corporate, securities and financing law, where he has extensive experience in mergers, acquisitions and divestitures representing both public and closely-held corporations and other entities. He is part of the team at Keating Muething & Klekamp that has overseen hundreds of acquisition and divestiture transactions in recent years with an aggregate transaction value in the billions of dollars. He also regularly represents investment limited partnerships in venture capital and private equity investment transactions, including investment partnerships that utilize New Markets Tax Credits. He has significant experience in initial and follow-on public offerings of securities, and in representing issuers and investors in private placements of securities. He also regularly represents franchisors and franchisees.
Mr. Steiner has performed professional legal services for clients such as American Financial Group, Meridian Bioscience, Inc., Kendle International Inc., Seneca Insurance Companies, Tab Products Co., Walnut Private Equity Fund, L.P., Cintas Corporation, Duro Bag Manufacturing Co., Cincinnati New Markets Fund LLC and Uptown Partners Investment Fund LLC. Prior to joining Keating Muething & Klekamp, he was a partner (1990-1993) at Taft, Stettinius & Hollister. He also has served as an Adjunct Professor at the University of Cincinnati College of Law, where he has taught Corporate Finance (2005-2007) and will teach Venture Capital and Private Equity (2008).
