Growing with Our Clients

Strategic.  Proactive.  Entrepreneurial.  Determined.  These are four of the traits that have defined KMK and have enabled KMK’s success as a firm and as the legal advisors to many clients who have grown with us over the past 55 years.

At KMK we stay ahead of the curve. We are energized to know where the economy is headed and the latest developments within the legal profession. To us, providing the best service means being confident about what we do and accurately delivering timely service with the client’s goals in mind.

As the largest first-generation law firm in Greater Cincinnati, KMK offers the breadth and depth of experience to meet the varied needs of clients from all over the country.  KMK works with small, mid-sized, and large companies, as well as individuals and families.

Small / Emerging Companies and Entrepreneurs.  KMK's Emerging Business Team is an interdisciplinary group of attorneys that works in the areas of business and corporate finance law, tax law, mergers & acquisitions, and litigation, and is dedicated to understanding the unique needs of small / emerging companies and entrepreneurs.  In fact, some of our largest clients now — such as American Financial Group, Inc., and Cintas Corporation — started working with us when they were small, entrepreneurial companies with a handful of employees.  Now they are listed on the Fortune 1000 list of largest companies in the U.S. (2010).  KMK helps companies of all sizes — including small companies and small companies looking to become large companies.

Mid-Sized Companies.  For the past 55 years, KMK has been helping mid-sized businesses in Cincinnati and around the country, by providing legal services that are tailored to the specific needs of each client.  For some clients, we serve as an "embedded General Counsel" — partnering with the management team to address the company's full range of legal services.  For other clients, we work to address the specific legal needs that arise.  Our attorneys have the breadth of experience and dedication to provide the high quality client service that our mid-sized clients require — and at a value they appreciate.

Large, National, and  International Companies.  KMK represents 50 companies that appear on the Fortune 1000 list of largest companies in the U.S. (2010) — 27 of which are on the Fortune 500 list, 12 of which are on the Fortune 100 list, and 3 companies on the Fortune 10 list.   In addition, KMK represents a total of 17 companies on the 2010 Fortune Global 500 list, the list of the largest companies in the world.

For some large corporate clients, we partner closely with their General Counsel or Chief Legal Officer to address the company's full range of legal services.  For other clients, we focus on the specific legal areas for which they request our help.  KMK has assisted global companies with matters in a multitude of countries and across several continents, including the following:
